ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY IMMERSION INK AND ADHESIVE REMOVER

AGEPROX RT-688 removes flexographic inks, gravure inks and adhesives by immersion with total efficiency. It also removes carbon and carbon deposits, polymerized latex and lacquer.

It can be used to remove ink, adhesives or carbon from all metals; aluminum and its alloys, magnesium and its alloys, steel, cadmium and copper, without causing attack.

For doctor-blade cameras. Does not attack any type of metal.

DESCRIPTION

AGEPROX RT-688 is a mixture of solvents, activators and corrosion inhibitors. It consists of two phases: the upper phase, which is made up of the oil seal; and the lower phase, which is the active part.

The evaporation of solvents from the active part is minimized by the oil seal. It contains no phenolic compounds, aromatic solvents or heavy metals, making it a product that is easy to dispose of and has a long service life.

  • Density upper phase —— 0.862 g/cm3 at 25ºC
  • Density lower phase ——- 1.025 g/cm3 at 25ºC
  • Flash point upper phase — 190ºC (Cleveland cup open)
  • Lower phase flash point — 180ºC (Cleveland cup open)

APPLICATION OF USE

AGEPROX RT-688 is supplied ready for use. The entire contents of the packaging must be transferred to the tank. It operates at a temperature of 80°C – 90°C. Do not operate above this temperature range without prior consultation with our Technical Department.

After the removal procedure, the part must be rinsed with WATER at room temperature to remove the oily seal, using a jet washer.

The following precautions must be observed when operating the AGEPROX RT-688:

  • Operate in a tank with exhaust or an area with forced ventilation. We recommend that the exhaust hood continuously covers the AGEPROX RT-688 tank.
  • No traces of water may come into contact with the tank containing AGEPROX RT-688.
  • All parts must be free of oil and grease before entering the tank.
  • If necessary, re-immerse the part in the tank and ensure that it is dry.
  • Always keep the seal height at 10% to 15% of the volume of AGEPROX RT 688 in the tank.
  • Use an AISI 304 or 316 stainless steel tank.
  • When reinforcing, ensure that the entire contents of the container have been transferred.
  • The content of alkaline agents and solvents in the active phase should be analyzed periodically between 30 days or when filtration takes place, depending on the workload, and the titration value should be between 13.70ml – 14.70ml. Reinforcements of alkaline agents and solvents should be carried out with AGEPROX RT-688/AA and AGEPROX RT-688/AS products, respectively, depending on the result obtained in the analysis. The analysis method can be obtained from our Technical Department.
  • Filtration should be carried out in two stages: – 6-micron filter. – Denim/sarge fabric (thick).
